The Music Hutch Studio is a private instrumental (band) music lessons studio in Dahlonega, Georgia. My philosophy is to customize the teaching plan to the student's individual goals. I am an encouraging and knowledgeable teacher who has a wealth of experience teaching all levels of students.

After retiring from public school in 2010, I began teaching trumpet at Plato's Music in Johns Creek, Georgia.  The owner came to me about taking over the studio in February of 2015 and I accepted, changing the name to The Music Hutch Studio. We had as many as twelve teachers who taught band and orchestra instruments, voice, guitar and piano during that time.  I also continued to teach most all band instruments privately and had as many as twenty-six weekly students myself. My family decided to move to North Georgia near the end of 2019.  We purchased a house in the Dahlonega area in February 2020.  I closed the studio in Johns Creek in May of that year and moved it with me in Dahlonega.  I currently teach virtual and face-to-face lessons. I love teaching privately and would love to teach your child.  and help him/her grow in knowledge and ability as well as confidence.
